John Thompson is a composer media artist. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of California at Santa Barbara where he studies music and media arts with JoAnn Kuchera-Morin, Curtis Roads, Marcos Novak, and Stephen Travis Pope.
Recently awarded an IGERT fellowship by the National Science Foundation to conduct research in interactive digital multimedia, he is exploring the creation of interactive media works using computer vision, audio analysis, and other sensor technologies. He is keenly interested in the synaesthetic properties of various media and works to algorithmically explore the engines of cross-disciplinary creativity.

MarkDavid Hosale's interests are interdisciplinary, but the connecting tissue comes from thinking of art and music as a narrative. Particularly in understanding how narrative evolves in contemporary society, while considering the influence of technology and its non-linear means of representing time and space.
Having a background in music composition and theory, MarkDavid Hosale is currently pursuing an Individual Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Media Art and Technology, and Music at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Previously, MarkDavid received an MM in Music-Composition and Theory at UIUC, and a BA in Music at UCSB in the College of Creative Studies.
